Description

Brass postal scale pan. Square-shaped, short back wall bent upwards at 90 degree angle. Iron post, riveted in three places - two on the bottom of the pan and one on back wall - extends above pan and hooks at the top. Two markings on top of pan; makers mark (?) symbol with 'GR' inside (see accession file for diagram) ,"08-5-53" below, "Canada P.O." underneith Edwardian crown symbol, "1 Lb/ P.A. Co." above. One mark on verso of back wall "129".
