Travelling apothecary scale in dark wood box. Red velvet lined bottom of interior, short wooden pieces, butt joined at an angle to create a weight compartment, in the proper front left corner of the box. Lid and base are attached by plate hinges. Hook and loop closure on front of box. Set consists of steel balance, glass scale pans attached to balance with green silk (?) cord, and six metal weights; one (1) two drams weight, one (1) one dram weight, one (1) two scruples weight, one (1) half dram weight, one (1) scruple weight, and one (1) half scruple weight. The small paper label in the compartment is printed with black ink on with paper, with grain to scruples, scruples to drams, drams to ounces, and ounces to pounds conversions.Dimensions
