Description

Travelling apothacary scales. Wooden box with black fabric lined bottom; separate wood compartment in front proper left corner of box for weights; lid and base are attached with wire hinges. The box has a loop and hook closure on the top. Scales set includes an iron balance, two brass scale pans attached with cotton (?) cords, and four round brass weights. The weights have their weight amount on the obverse and reverse. THe 20 gram weight has 'Metric System' and H.Troamner/Phila' on both obverse and reverse. Black, green, red tassel on top of balance handle ring.
