Description

Travelling apothacary scale. Wooden box, lid and base are attahced with plate hinges. Bottom of the interior is lined with blue fabric. Wooden compartment in the front proper right corner containing four metal weights, one (1) 20 gram weight, one (1) unmarked weight, one (1) 5 gram weight and one (1) 2 gram weight. The set contains a steel balance with two brass scale pans attached with green cord. Hook and loop closure on front of box. Red silk (?) tassel on balance handle loop.
