Description

Travelling apothecary scale, set consists of balance and scales, attached to the balance with dark green cord, and five (5) brass weights. Each weight has the number and 'DWTS' on the top of the weight , and circles corresponding to the numbers on the bottom of the weight. There is a paper label on the proper left wall, with 'Physicians Scales' hand written in ink. The box lid and base are connected with wire loop hinges. The box closes with a hook and eye closure on the front of the box. Bottom, interior, is lined in red velvet.
