Description

Bell brass mortar with wooden pestal. A narrower base, the mortar flares at the top. The body features a 1 inch wide brass band with two (2) knobs that jut out from opposite ends. Twelve (12) circular incisions wrap around the body extending from the base to the lip. Five (5) rings are incized on the bottom of the base, with what appears to be the number '9' stamped between the third and fourth ring going outwards. Wooden pestle is defined by a thinner top handle and a thicker base with which to grind.
