Photos, histories, and memorabilia related to the historic Totem Lodge on Burden Lake in the Town of Sand Lake, NY. Totem Lodge began as the summer home of nationally renowned sportsman Matthew A. Larkin around the turn of the 20th century and eventually became a world-class resort beginning in 1922. The Schoenholt family donated the Totem Lodge totem pole to the Marian E. White, Anthropologic Research Museum, of the University at Buffalo (UAB) in 1978.
