Description

One-hundred-and-forty-two-page PDF of a compilation of the deeds, leases, agreements, transactions, acts of incorporation, and bylaws, rules, regulations and resolutions that created the Wynants Kill Improvement Association. The agreements documented therein regulated water flows that powered much of the Industrial Revolution in the 19th through early 20th centuries. Well-known Sand Lake surveyor Burton A. Thomas created the compilation on behalf of the Association in 1863. Unfortunately, the PDF was created from a donated photocopy of an original copy of this extremely rare publication. Thus, its quality is erratic, but generally legible throughout. The PDF is downloadable while fully logged into the system.
