Description

Tremont Calendars, Photos, Artifacts and history. Calendars featuring historic photos created and distributed annually by Tremont Lumber located in the Hamlet of Averill Park in the Town of Sand Lake, NY, as promotional items from 1961 to 1987. The entries include a mix of 1-megapixel photos and 10-14 megapixel scans for sake of efficiency. However, high-resolution scans of all of the pictured calendars are available upon request thanks to the scanning efforts of Andy Mace. All of the calendars pictured are part of a private collection that is owned and maintained by Ms. Jackie Tremont of Sand Lake, NY. In addition, photos related to the original site of Tremont Lumber which was located in the repurposed historic trolley stop and depot of the Troy and New England Railway until 1985. Refer to the following pages of the SLHS Internet site and Gino's Trolley Page for additional details. In particular, the SLHS site includes a detailed description of most of the calendar photos: https://sandlakehistory.org/tremont.htm#1961 http://gino.cdfw.net/_trolleypage/TNE/tne2.html
