Sixty-six-page PDF of 1913 to 1929 annual school expenses, anticipated tax assessments, and planning notes apparently made by Alfred Deyss (also noted as Fred Deyss) who served as a Trustee of School District Number One during the early 20th century. This appears to more of an informal notebook and workbook that Alfred kept to support his Trustee duties given the frequent doodles, cross-outs, and informal entries as compared to the formal entries and attestations found in the other official School District Number One entries found in this folder. For example, the, "1839-1929 School District No. 1 Annual Meeting Ledger," entry in this folder formally notes the appointment of Alfred as a Trustee and the, "1906-1910 School Tax Lists and Apportionments," entry displays examples of the formally adopted school tax lists and budgets that Alfred obviously helped develop. Note that the entries chronologically continue from 1913 through 1929 and stamped page number 187 in the ledger before skipping forward to stamped page number 388 where additional notes for 1918 through 1924 can be found along with sketches of apparent plans for schoolhouse replacements or additions and notes regarding the purchase and sale of livestock such as pigs and cows. In summary, Alfred took his Trustee duties very seriously and obviously devoted a great deal of time and effort to the District. The entries also mention Mabel Katherine Deyss and that Ms. Mabel D. Harrington donated the workbook to the Town in August of 1994. The PDF is downloadable while fully logged into the system. Refer to the example page for a preview of its content.
