Scope and Content

Binder storing several different versions of Sand Lake Historical Society sponsored house tours that occurred from approximately 1976 through 1990. A drawer in SLHS File Cabinet 2 stores several additional incarnations of the SLHS sponsored house tours thereafter. Some of the tours were guided. Others were self-guided. Similarly, some of the homes were open and available for tours. Others had to be viewed from the road. SLHS typically gained a donation from the "sale" of the tour books. This entry features the guide from the 1976 tour which seems to be one of the best given its focus on overall architecture, rather than primarily homes, and inclusion of some local history. Refer to the binder and files for additional versions of the tour books.
