Twelve-page PDF of the transcript of a 1989 SLHS Program Presentation by Winifred Wright Edwards entitled, "Genessee Fever," which highlighted the migration of early settlers from New England and Eastern New York to Western New York during the late 18th and 19th centuries to take advantage of its relatively readily available land at a low cost. A brief Internet search failed to identify anything more about Winifred. However, the transcript mentions ties to a Boughton family which might be Sand Lake related.
