Summary of 15 Town of Sand Lake Ledgers 1813-1919Entry/Object ID
2021.3.91Scope and Content
A summary compiled by noted local historians Robert Dalton Harris and Diane DeBlois of 15 leather-bound ledgers of some of the earliest official governmental proceedings of the Town of Sand Lake from 1813 through 1919. Harris and Dalton obtained the ledgers from Harold C. Tifft and via their dealings in American ephemera and offered them for sale at a substantially discounted price back to the Town of Sand Lake. Per email correspondence with both Diane DeBlois and Town Historian Bob Moore in February of 2022, the Town of Sand Lake did purchase the ledgers and they are available at Town Hall.
