Description

Two-page PDF of a March of 2000 letter from Mr. Joseph J. Duvo to Town Historian Judy Rowe regarding Joseph's service at the Alps Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) camp in 1940, which is the current site of the Alps family campground. The letter details his fond recollections of destroying gypsy moths throughout the Sand Lake area as a CCC team leader. Judy subsequently used the information to produce one of her Town Historian columns in the Advertiser as can be seen in SLHS General Articles Binder 2. The original document is stored in a manilla folder marked, "Possible Topics Historical Highlights," and within Blue Presentations Folder 2, which is located in drawer 3 of SLHS File Cabinet 5.
