Nine page PDF of a NY State Education Department certified photocopy of a November 4, 1685, land patent granted to Kilian (a.k.a. Kiliaen) Van Ranslaer, who was a merchant, among the original directors of the Dutch West India Company, and founder of the Manor of Rensselaerswyck, and credited with developing the Patroon system, and being among its most successful examples.
