Ann Sharp was born October 10, 1925, to parents Rosa and Constantino Cartagenise. Ann always had a vision for the future. In 1953 she moved to Wasaga Beach. In 1967 she and her husband John (Jack) Sharp opened the Oak Lea Grocery Store. The store was a meeting place for cottagers for years to come. Ann was awarded the Best in Business Award for more than 15 years in business in Wasaga Beach in 1997 and the Gene Langevin Award for 25 years in business in 2002. The Store eventually became apartments.
Ann passed away peacefully at the Stayner Nursing Care Centre on October 6, 2018, in her 93rd year. Ann was predeceased by her husband of 47 years John (Jack) Sharp.
