Birch Haven Cabins and Lodge, owned by Frank and Sadie Reeves, were located at 35 Mosley St., on the north shore of the Nottawasaga River, at the entrance to Nancy Island. Situated in a grove of birch trees, cabins surrounded the lodge where the lounge, kitchen, dining room and main office were located.
The pamphlet describes "Meals That Merit Mention", sporting, entertainment, relaxation and transportation options available. Cabins are described as "electrically lighted and are furnished with additional sockets for electric razor, iron, etc. The fully-screened windows are placed so as to ensure cross ventilation, and are equipped with awnings. The beds and mattresses are modern and offer the utmost in comfort."
The price list includes weekly rates for various options such as two person with double bed, one person with single bed, as well as daily rates with meals, for example. Contact information is provided for both a Toronto and Wasaga Beach address and phone number.
The reverse side of the price list is an "Application for Reservation", including dates, type of accommodation, number of persons, signature, address and phone number. A note on the bottom advises a $5 deposit per person, payable by money order or postal note, must accompany the application.Acquisition
