Two photographs of Cameron Grandparents. David Cameron was born August 11, 1845 in Oro Township, Simcoe County. He was the son of Duncan Cameron (1814-1852) and Margaret Bone (1819-1911), Scottish immigrants to Oro. David Cameron purchased Lot. No. 20 N1/2, Concession 7, Flos Township, 100 acres of forested land. David began clearing the land and built a home and in 1870, David married Jemima Langman (1844-1894), also a native of Oro Township.
The Camerons had 8 children: William Dunn (1871), Margaret Ellen (1872), Mary Agnes (1875), Martha Anne (Sept. 13, 1876), Victoria (1879), Elizabeth Kate (Jan. 27, 1881-1933), Philip I. (Dec 27, 1883), and Jane (1884) before Jemima passed away in 1894. After the Death of Jemima, David married Margaret Buchanan (1849-1935). David was married to each wife for 25 years.Acquisition
