Context

The display consists of a 12 pound cannon ball and 2 small cannon shot found in 1959 by the son of Ernie and Rose Smith and his friends on the bank of the Nottawasaga River. The location on the south bank is determined to be approx. 1000 feet upstream from the site of the HMS Nancy sinking.
