With a vehicle headlight, partial fender and hood visible in the foreground, Darling's Home Bakery is pictured on Main Street, Wasaga Beach. A Coca-Cola sign is hanging over the entrance door. A "ROOMS AND BOARD" sign is attached to the second level of the building. Window covers/awnings are lifted above the two main level windows of the building. People are walking along the sidewalk with others leaning against the open air snack bar that is part of the building. Signs on the building bedside the bakery show "Groceries" and "10¢ HOT DOGS".
The photos contained in the Garvey collection were photographed and developed by Frank Garvey, Maple Leaf Film Service. Frank arrived in Wasaga Beach in 1929 and opened his photography business operating from two tents on the beachfront. In 2000, the collection was donated to the Archives by Judy Garvey.
