Russell Kenwell was the first Fire Chief for the Town of Wasaga Beach. He served on the Fire Department for 30 years including 20 years as Fire Chief. The record rainbow trout, weighing 29 lbs., 2 oz., was caught in the Nottawasaga River by Russell Kenwell, May 13, 1975. The rainbow trout held the world record in its class 1975-1988.Acquisition
