Ireland's Seven Seas Tavern Cocktail MenuContext
Ireland's Seven Seas Tavern was located at 128 Main Street which is the location of the municipal parking lot located at the corner of Main Street and Glenwood Drive. Willard and Margaret Dedels, parents of Pat Piotto who provided the following history, and Pat's Aunt & Uncle, purchased the block containing Davie's Club, a large 9 room house which was attached to the dancehall by the basement, a snack bar with gas pumps and 10 cabins around 1955. The Dedels changed the name of Davie's Club to the Top Hat Dancehall. They operated the dancehall for about 4.5 years until 1959 when they moved back to Kitchener, Ontario. Pat's Aunt & Uncle sold their share around the same time. The new owner renamed the Top Hat Dancehall Ireland's Seven Seas Tavern.
The cocktail menu lists a variety of alcoholic drinks available as well as softdrinks. Prices vary from $0.45 up to $2.00. Softdrinks cost $0.15 to $0.30. It is noted "ALL PORTIONS BASED ON 1 OZ." as well as "On Commencement of Entertainment al Prices Increase $0.10." A warning on the back of the menu advises "We regret we cannot be responsible for Lost or Mislaid Articles".Acquisition
