As noted on the label attached to the back of the photograph, the photograph was taken circa 1920-1925 or prior showing Martin Highway. Information from a newspaper article indicates Martin Highway was named in honor of Reeve James Martin of Sunnidale. The roadway was also known as Balsam Street and eventually Main Street. The picture is from the north end of the steel bridge, built in 1909, looking towards the beach along the original "Main Street.Acquisition
