The Miramar Motel was located between 2nd and 3rd Street on the beach at Beach Area One. It was operated by the Beck family including Bonnie (nee Beck) & Bill Cooper. The Miramar Motel was a two storey building with several cabins. The cabins were torn down in 2007 and the motel building was renovated into retail space. The motel building and office were demolished in 2023. The Miramar Motel location was used in the rapper/actor 50 Cent’s 2005 film, Get Rich or Die Tryin’.
The postcard includes three photos of the Miramar Motel from the beach. The photos include 1964-1966 cars parked in front of the motel indicated the era the photos were taken. The back of the postcard is blank.Acquisition
