Context
Collection of 9 photographs documenting a fire at the Nottawasaga Inn, Wasaga Beach, Ontario circa 1939. Waves can be seen in the background with one photograph showing a Bayview Manor sign in the background. A handwritten note on the album reads: "Fire at Notawasga Inn App. 1939".
The photos contained in the Garvey collection were photographed and developed by Frank Garvey, Maple Leaf Film Service. Frank arrived in Wasaga Beach in 1929 and opened his photography business operating from two tents on the beachfront. In 2000, the collection was donated to the Archives by Judy Garvey.
