In the photograph, from a Garvey photo album page titled "STORMY WASAGA 1935", Blue Mountain is visible in the distance with Nottawasaga Bay and the beach in the foreground. Part of a building is shown with a sign reading "PLATE DINNERS" and "SALADS". Cars are parked in front of the building with a person walking on the beach.
The photos contained in the Garvey collection were photographed and developed by Frank Garvey, Maple Leaf Film Service. Frank arrived in Wasaga Beach in 1929 and opened his photography business operating from two tents on the beachfront. In 2000, the collection was donated to the Town of Wasaga Beach Archives by Judy Garvey.Acquisition
