Tall Ships 1812 Tour Boarding Pass, August 16-18, 2013Context
The boarding pass was created as a souvenir, in the form of a small booklet, for the Tall Ships 1812 Tour hosted by the Town of Collingwood, presented by Redpath Sugar. Collingwood was one of 15 Ontario ports to commemorate the bicentennial of the War of 1812. The pan-provincial tour was hosted by Collingwood in partnership with the TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE Great Lakes 2013 series and featuring tall ships from around the world. Tall Ships Lynx, Friends Good Will , and Madeline were part of the tour. The boarding pass includes details about each ship. Two pages feature "Wasaga Under Siege 1812" at Nancy Island Historic Site, Wasaga Beach with hours of operation included and a summary of events:
"Wasaga Under Siege features period merchants, artisans, cooking, musket and cannon demonstrations, surgeons' tent, and entertainment. All battle events will take place at various Wasaga Beach Provincial Park locations."Acquisition
