Thank you note and Kairawan Lodge envelope 1935Context
The Trace Family owned Kairawan Lodge at Allenwood Beach. The thank you letter reads: Dear friend, Please accept this as a token of appreciation for what you did for Charlie. He always felt grateful for your kindness two years ago and I can nevery repay your generous benevolence on that terrible last night. Most sincerely, M. Langman." The mailing address on the envelope that holds the note reads: "Mr. Milton Trace, Allenwood, Ontario" A small piece of newspaper reads "DIED - LANGMAN - In St. Andrew's hospital, Midland, on Tuesday, Sept. 3rd, 1935, Charles R. Langman, in his 33rd year. The thank you note, small envelope and piece of newspaper were together in a Kairawan Lodge envelope. The envelope is blank except for a return address that reads: KAIRAWAN LODGE "The House of Home-Cooked Meals" Allenwood Beach Georgian BayAcquisition
