The long play album holds music from the Canadian Armed Forces Tattoo 1967, a series of military tattoos or displays performed by members of the Canadian military as the Canadian military's contribution to Canada's centennial year celebrations in 1967. This was the largest such event in the history of the Canadian military. The Tattoo shows started in late March 1967 and ended in October after approximately 150 performances in over 40 cities across Canada performing in every province.
The album was printed in Canada, produced in co-operation with Ian H. Frew and Associates Ltd., Vancouver and produced and distributed by Canadian Music Sales Corporation Limited, Toronto, Ontario
Wasaga Beach saw many military troops stationed at Canadian Forces Base Borden located approximately 40 minutes south of the Town, visit while on leave from duty. The close proximity of the base brought troops along with their families to vacation in the area resulting in cottage courts becoming more popular during this era.Acquisition
