-The booklet "HMS Nancy, The Legacy of a War of 1812 Schooner and Her Crew" published by The Friends of Nancy Island and Wasaga Beach Park in cooperation with Ontario Parks, 2002, describes the story of the HMS Nancy. During the War of 1812 , on August 14, 1814, the HMS Nancy was sunk by American ships in the Nottawasaga River. The crew of the Nancy planned a surprise attack and avenged the sinking of the Nancy when they captured two American ships. This helped end the war and was instrumental in determining Canada's borders as they are known today. The booklet includes the history of the HMS Nancy, the fur trade, factors leading to the War of 1812, The Battle of Lake Erie, Nancy's Notable crew, the Battle of the Nottawasaga River, the capture of USS Tigress & USS Scorpion and information about the Nancy Island Historic Site, where the remains of the hull of the Nancy are preserved for public viewing.
The booklet, "Pine Trail, Dynamics of a coastal dune ecosystem" is published by The Friends of Nancy Island & Wasaga Beach Park in cooperation with he Ganaraska Hiking Trail Wasaga Beach Club and Ontario Parks in 2004.
