Large painted mural depicting Wasaga Beach history
Context
The beach like background incorporates various figures from the Town's history including the Capstan Inn, The Nancy and the Trail of the Caribou. Eleven painted snapshots, inset in the mural, include scenes that illustrate the history of the Town from 1880 to 1990. Ten of the eleven snapshots were taken from "Wasaga Saga, A History of Wasaga Beach" by Thelma Morrison. The mural is titled "Wasaga Beach" and was painted and donated by local artist Michelle Matthews.
