Context

The framed display features an original postcard with a Wasaga Beach beach scene, sent by air mail from Wasaga Beach to Berlin by a family visiting Wasaga Beach. The postmark is at "OAKVIEW BEACH 65" representing Oakview Beach, Wasaga Beach in 1965. Imprinted on the back of the card reads: "Greetings from WASAGA BEACH, ONTARIO" "Genuine Natural Color Made by Dexter Press, Inc., West Ny" (Remainder covered by Air Mail stamp) "Clear Blue Water, soft sand and lots of sunshine beckon the vacationists. SS-49420 Kodachrome by Clark A. Brandenburg" The handwritten greeting translates as follows: "My loved ones, heartiest greetings from our summer vacation. We have nice weather and are feeling good. Soon we'll see each other again. All the best and again, lots of greetings. Yours, Irma, Tony, Chris, & Ronnie."
