Description

In Alor, certain types of tenapi, or tube skirts, represent specific patrilineal lineages, while others are neutral and do not signify a specific lineage. These lower garments are named for their design format and motifs, but the names do not have specific meanings. This tenapi consists of two panels of brownish-red-ground warp ikat cloths decorated with primary warp ikat bands at the top and bottom of the skirt. The middle section is adorned with three secondary warp ikat bands.
