A three-panel cloth in rough cotton. It has a dark ground with seven rows of human along with diamond shapes in supplementary-weft wrapping (buna) technigue. See a similar piece in “Textiles of Western Timor” Yeager and Jacobson, page 312 photo #206 description on page 210. Also attributed specifically to Ayotupas area in “Traditional Indonesian Textiles” by John Gillow, photo 119. The areas are adjacent and the districts have been renamed and divisions changed by the government throughout the years.Acquisition
