Knud and Mari had ten children, including Liva Swenson-Tovsrud (Mrs. Ole I Hanson), Hans Swenson-Tovsrud, Maren Swenson-Tovsrud (Mrs Ole H Baglien), Swen Swenson (m. Caroline Haarstad), Bertha Swenson (Mrs Jake Walters), Ingeborg Swenson (Oluff Svenson), Annie Swenson (Mrs Albert A Sorum), Andrew Swenson (m. Mary Arnegard), Elling Swenson (m. Huldis Engebretson & Hannah Sundby), and Carrie Swenson (Mrs Oluf Hagen), who all lived at times in Traill County, ND.
