In the 1890 Spring Term (3 Mar-20 Jun), Blanchard School No. 5 teacher Mary Garden reported attendances and studies pursued for 19 students, including Clara Christenson, Nellie Christenson, Martha Copanger, Lizzie Crogstad, Martin Crogstad, Albert Ellingrud, Katie Ellingrud, Tilda Ellingrud, Ole Grondahl, Annie Holum, Carrie Holum, Olena Holum, Stena Holum, Carl Nelson, Christina Nelson, Martin Nelson, Nels Nelson, Carrie Olson, and Olaus Olson. Blanchard Township School No. 5 was located in NW Qtr. of Section 8 (see 1900 map, below), about 7 miles NW of the Village of Blanchard, and about 8 miles S of the City of Mayville.
