Carl Jeglum was born in 1872 and raised in Perry, Wisconsin (see obituary). As a young man, Carl came to Traill County, and in 1900 married Minnie Anderson of Ervin Township.
Minnie was born in Norway in 1874 and at the age of 18 in 1893 came with her mother to Cummings, ND (see document by Clara Jeglum).
After they married in 1900, Carl and Minne (Anderson) Jeglum farmed by Ulen, MN, for a few years, had land in Steele County and then bought the Gilbert Nelson farm by Cummings in Ervin Township in 1909. Carl and Minnie farmed and raised their family on this farm for over 40 years.
Carl and Minnie had six children, including daughter Gertrude Jeglum, who in 1929 married Clarence Danielson (see photos). Their youngest son, Hennor Jeglum, died in July 1945 serving in WWII.
Minnie (Anderson) Jeglum passed away in 1930 at the age of 76 and was interred at the Highland Church Cemetery.
Carl Jeglum passed away on 12 February 1943 and was buried in the Highland Church Cemetry.Acquisition
