This family history file contains a description of the David S. and Hannah Calley family from page 46 in the Traill County History book, Volume I. In 1880, David and Hannah settled on a claim in Bohnsack Township located in the SE Qtr. of Sect. 8 as shown in the 1892 plat map. This claim was established by David's father, William Calley in 1879.
David and Hannah Calley lived on their farm for nearly 30 years. They raised three children: Thomas Calley (died age 11), Maria Calley (married Maynard Pease of Kelso), and Margaret Calley (m. Herb McInnis of Kelso in 1912 and then B. N. Johnson of Hillsboro in 1934).
From Bohnsack Township Board records, we know that David Calley served as Township Treasurer during the early 1900s.Acquisition
