Description

Mrs. Peder Tweden, Mrs. Albert Hovet, Mrs. Isaac Lee, and Mrs. John K. Hovet. This photo was likely taken in August 1945 when the Hillsboro Banner reported that Mrs. Maggie Hovet of Grand Forks and Mrs, Isaac Lee of Canada, visited the home of Mrs. Albert Hovet. Mrs. Peder Tweden, Engeborg Knutsdr. married Peter O. Tweden on 30 November 1908 in Grand Forks, ND. Peter O. Tweden lived to the age of 75, passing away on 31 May 1960 in McKenzie County, ND. Engeborg (Knutsdr.) Tweden had older brothers, John K. Hovet and Albert Hovet. Engeborg 'Belle' Hovet died, age 75, on 30 April 1961 in McKenzie County, ND. Mrs. Albert Hovet, Tone Borgsardsdr. Hedde, married Albert Knudson Hovet on 22 November 1905 in Grand Forks, ND. Albert K. Hovet lived to the age of 72, passing away on 12 December 1955 in Buxton Township, Traill County. Tone (Hedde) Hovet died, age 78, on 29 January 1959 in Hillsboro, Traill County. Mrs. Isaac Lee was visiting from Canada when this photo was likely taken. How she is related to the others is uncertain. We know for certain that Tone (Hedde) Hovet and Maggie (Holto) Hovet were sister-in-laws to Engeborg (Knutsdr. Hovet) Tweden since they were married to Engeborg's brothers, Albert Hovet and John Hovet. Mrs. John K. Hovet, Maggie Halvorson Holto, married John Knudson Hovet on 13 December 1893 in Traill County. John K. Hovet died, age 49, in July 1921. John K. Hovet was an older brother to Albert K. Hovet. Maggie (Holto) Hovet lived to the age of 86, passing away in Grand Forks on 14 December 1961. John K. and Maggie (Holto) Hovet are interred in the Hillstead Cemetery located in east Stavanger Township, Traill County.
