Description

This family history is compiled into a three-ring binder containing a postcard photograph of Edmund Engel in WWI US Army uniform. Edmund Henry Engel was one of four children born to Dan and Ida (Forde) Engel (see page 55, Traill County History, Vol. I, below). Minnie (Forde) Engel was one of seven children born to John J. and Karen (Hagen) Forde (see page 60, Traill County History, Vol. I, below). The three-ring binder also has numerous letters written to and from Minnie Forde, mostly to and from Edmund Engel, during WWI. Also in the binder are 1917 US Selective Service enrollment, and US Army enlistment and honorable discharge documents for Edmund H. Engel. The 1951 US Selective Service enrollment papers for Dennis Engel are also in this binder.
