This folder contains selected pages from a history of Liva (Swenson-Tovsrud) and husband Ole I. Hanson and their family as described on pages 32 to 46 in the book "A family History for Hannah [Swenson] and John E. Ludwig, Residents of Hillsboro, North Dakota, USA, in the late 1800s and early to mid-1900s" written in 2016 by John A. Ludwig, which is available in the TCHS Resource room, Plummer House, Hillsboro, ND. Liva was the oldest daughter of Knud and Mari Swenson. in 1878, Ole I Hanson came from Spring Grove, Minnesota, and homesteaded in Traill County, Dakota Territory. Ole married Liva in 1881 back in Spring Grove and then they settled on a farm in Eldorado Township near Hillsboro.
