This studio photograph of the Rev. and Mrs. G. F. Potratz and five children was taken in about 1900 by C. E. Fuller, a photographer in Hillsboro from 1898 to 1921. Rev. Potratz served as pastor of Immanuel and St. John Lutheran churches from 1888 to 1902.
Rev. Potratz died of cancer in October 1902, leaving behind his wife and seven children. After his death, Mrs. Potratz remained in Hillsboro until the end of April 1903, as reported in the 24 April 1903 Hillsboro Banner.Cataloged By
