Description

The aerial photograph shows the Traill County Poor Farm circa 1950s (note style of car and pickup in photo). The second residence building, which was constructed in 1930 (see Catalogit entry 2020.37.6), after the first residence building was destroyed by fire in 1929. The photograph also shows a barn and other buildings. The Traill County Poor Farm was located in Section 2 in Caledonia Township, about two miles north of the Village of Caledonia. A history of the Traill County Poor Farm has been described by John Wright (see below).
