This photograph of three Overmoe children, Clara, Julia, and Alfred, was taken at the C. E. Fuller Studio in Hillsboro, ND. They are identified by notations on the back of the photo frame (below).
From US Census data, we know that Clara, Julia, and Alfred were three of eleven children born to Torger J. and Agnethe (Anderson) Overmoe.
Clara Overmoe was born on 20 October 1887 in Hillsboro, ND, and was raised on the family farm in Norway Township and in the town of Hillsboro. On 17 June 1915, Clara Overmoe married farmhand Oscar H. Moen of Mayville [new, Fargo Forum, 10 June 1915]. Oscar was born on 10 March 1887 in Audubon, Becker County, MN. Oscar and Clara Moen had three children, Avis and twins Thelma and Theron Moen. Clara (Overmoe) Moen died, age 61, on 21 October 1948 [ND Death Certif.]. Clara was interred in the cemetery in Mayville, ND [US FaG info]. Oscar H. Moen died, age 78, on 28 November 1965 in Mayville, where he was buried next to Clara in the Cemetery [US FaG info].
Julia Overmoe was born on 5 July 1894 in Hillsboro, ND, where she was raised along with on the family farm in Norway Township. On 20 June 1920, Julia Overmoe married Iver A. Acker of Hillsboro. In 1929, Iver and Julia moved to Bismarck, ND, where Iver was a ND State public servant developing state water laws [obit, Bismarck Tribune, 15 March 1972]. They did not have children. Iver A Acker died in 1969, and Julia (Overmoe) Acker passed away, age 77, on 14 March 1972 at the Missouri Slope Lutheran Home in Bismarck [ND Death Certif.]. Iver and Julie were interred at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Bismarck.
Alfred Tideman Overmoe was born on 14 June 1897 in Hillsboro, ND, where he was schooled and raised, as well as on the family farm in Norway Township. On 9 April 1932, Alfred T. Overmoe married Beatrice "Bea" Haugland, who was born in Hillsboro on 13 August 1905. They resided at Taft north of Hillsboro where Alfred was a manager of a grain elevator. Alfred and Bea Overmoe had two children, Julie and Terry Overmoe. In 1944, Alfred and Bea Overmoe moved to Hillsboro. Alfred Tideman Overmoe died age 89, on 14 June 1987 at the Nursing Home in Hillsboro [ND Death Certif.]. Alfred was interred at Hillsboro's Riverside Cemetery [US-FaG info]. Bea (Haugland) Overmoe lived to the grand age of 98, passing away on 27 May 2004 at Hillsboro's Medical Center Nursing Home [US FaG info]. Bea was interred next to Alfred at the Riverside Cemetery.Acquisition
