Carved Wooden Pheasant
Thomas Hansen of Valley City, North Dakota carved wooden birds in the 1940's. He carved forty or so different types of birds, including ducks, geese, pheasants, and quail.
His birds were so well-detailed and anatomically correct that they were used as teaching tools. They are presently valued at $200 to $250 per piece.
