This steamboat operated on Devils Lake every summer for 25 years. Captain Edward Heerman built a steamboat in 1882 and named it the Minnie H after his daughter Minnietta Heerman. It began operations on July 4, 1883. This steamboat carried passengers and freight back and forth from the city of Devils Lake on the north side of the lake to Fort Totten on the south side, as well as to other points along the lake.
