This file contains a description on the life of Karen Stenhaug, who was born in November 1855 in Norway and came to Minnesota in the early 1970s with her parents, Joh and Kirsti (Hagen) Stenhaug.
In 1875, Karen Stenhaug married John Nelson and in 1878 they homesteaded in the west half of Section 6 in Bloomfield Township. Traill County, DT (see 1892 plat map).
Karen (Stenhaug) and John Nelson had ten children: Joseph, Christine, Carl, Martin, Nels, Tillie, Louise, Olga, Edna and Adolph.
John Nelson died in 1904, but Karne lived until August 1930.Acquisition
