This file contains a document written by a daughter of Anne Grenet, who was born in Norway and came to the USA in 1884. As a young woman, Anne came to Traill County and worked for Ole I Hansen and Ole's wife, Andrina Swenson-Tofsrud in Eldorado Township, and then later for widower Esten Halvorsen also of Eldorado Township.
Anne Grenet and Esten Halvorsen married in 1890 and raised a family on their Eldorado farm. Ten years after they married, in 1900, Esten Halvorsen died when Anne was only 28 years old. Anne lived to the age of 74, passing away in 1945.Acquisition
