Pearl (Thompson) Unvergazt told her recollections of growing up in the Red River Valley (Gardner, Grandin, Hillsboro) to her cousin, Bill Lawrence. Born in 1916, as a child of Bill and Florence (Lawrence) Thompson, Pearl Thompson was close to her first cousin, Donald Lawrence, Bill's father. Donald Lawrence married Karen M. Swenson in 1938, the daughter of Elling and Hannah (Sundby) Swenson of Hillsboro and Mayville. In 1933, at the age of 16, Pearl Thompson married Ernest Unverzagt in Hillsboro's Congregational Chruch.Cataloged By
