In 1983, Steele County celebrated its Centennial (1883-1983). For this celebration, a 440-page book with an additional 127-page section of family biographies and an index, was produced by the Steel County Historical Society in Finley, ND (see book Title page, below). This centennial book includes a Table of Contents and was dedicated to "those who have preceded, pioneered, persevered and built--and to the people of the 'new generation and to the future" (see book Table of Contents and Forward & Dedication page, below).
